Happy Birthday HOPE!

This past week was the HOPE Christian Infertility Support Group meeting at Lakewood Church.  As I was getting ready for the meeting it dawned on me it was HOPE’s 4th birthday, AND we needed a cake! Four years ago in one of the nation’s largest churches in America, a little support group with 3 people began. HOPE has and is always a place for women who are struggling to have a family can come and be supported and comforted by the love of God, the Bible and prayer.  We strive to reach out to those who are suffering from infertility, secondary infertility, miscarriage and failed adoption attempts.  God has brought many depressed, grieving and lonely across our threshold; they come in one way and leave another. Inspired. Encouraged. Able to take a deep breath and move forward on their fertility journey.

I’m posting a few pictures from this last Thursday, and a few from others who have attended in years past.  I was pleasantly surprised when one of our ‘youngin’s’ as I call her (the youngest in our group) visited us with her twin girls and husband.  What a sweet, touching blessing it was for me personally to hold answered prayer. To God be all the glory!

As I view and post pictures, these are only a few of the 38 babies born or adopted to the women in our group over the last four years.  Yet there remains burned in my heart the images of the HOPE women who are waiting…still.  Like yourself. God is faithful in their, your (and my) journey.  I am reminded of the scripture,

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 1:6

Never, ever give up!
