Fertility Fact Friday

Scrubbing through some old notes I had, I came across this, Waiting Does Not Diminish Us. Even though it’s not a particular ‘fact’ regarding any fertility issues we’re facing, I believe we all face the fact of waiting. We all, are waiting, one way or another. I thought it timely to share.  I love how Eugene Peterson’s the Message version of the Bible expresses a passage in Romans 8.  May it be just what you need today.

Waiting Does Not Diminish Us

All around us we observe a pregnant creation.  The difficult time of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs.  But it’s not only aoround us; it’s within us.  The Spirit of God is arousing us within.  We’re also feeling the birth pangs.  These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance.  That is why waiting does not dimish us, any more than waiting does not diminish a pregnant mother.  We are enlarged in the waiting.  We, of course do not see what is enlarging us.  But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.  Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s spirit is right alongside helping us along… That’s why we can be so sure that every detail of our lives of love for God is worked into something good.”
