In American Colonial times, women would craft “piecework” where they knitted and sewed garments for pay as a home business. Inspired by this concept, Lesli had an idea. She wanted to reach out to other women who were hurting and longing for children, like her. So she composed an invitation to “Peacework” party in her home. She asked her girlfriends and family to gather to learn a new skill to sew baby blankets with a goal of giving the blankets to women in an infertility support group.
The act of giving a baby blanket to hurting women is where it all began. The seed sown has blossomed to what is Dancing Upon Barren Land ministry today, touching women and couples all around the world with the love of Jesus Christ.
Enjoy your craft created by Lesli and her friends.
